Then there is the argumentative falsehood, where one side of the argument acts and says something false to sway an argument. Lying opposition can sometimes work. For example, if you try to convince the other side that abortion is a criminal act, they could say it is not.
However, if you make an argument based on a factual fact, you may want to make a stronger argument. The rest of the argumentative language is about the truth. If your true side, your supporters, needs to make more of a point than the other side, the argument will be about the truth. You will probably be able to do this with your evidence.
Now that you have been able to win one argument, the next one will be to come up with a counterargument. It is likely that your opponents will attempt to attack you, which will allow you to strengthen your argument. But do not be drawn into an endless argument. Use only logical arguments to show that you are right.
Perhaps, someone has already made a counterargument. If they have, then you will need to show that you do not have the facts correct. Or, if they have and ithas changed your logic, then you will need to backtrack. Either way, be careful not to go to logical extremes.
Even when someone backs away from their argument, you will need to try again. There may be other arguments with which to build a stronger argument. Of course, it is important that you have the best arguments. Make sure they are as strong as possible, and use them in the most persuasive way possible.
